Rehabilitation

As a short-term rehabilitation patient, you will receive the therapy prescribed by your physician and coordinated with him or her. These rehabilitation therapies may include Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or IV Therapy. Our staff will assess your progress and discuss your medical and discharge needs with you, so you will know exactly what to anticipate. Therapy is available up to seven days a week. Assessment, evaluations, and consults are available seven days a week.

Rehabilitation services are covered by Medicare, Blue Cross, and some HMO plans. Upon discharge from a qualifying hospital stay, most insurance carriers will initially certify a five-day stay in a skilled nursing facility, covering skilled therapies, rehabilitation, room, and board. As rehabilitation progresses, most insurance carriers will re-certify rehabilitation therapy stays for a set period of time.

If you are planning surgery, please make sure to check with your individual insurance provider to determine your coverage for hospital care and post-acute care settings such as Artman.

In addition, the nursing team at Artman is able to manage a variety of clinical needs, including:

• IV antibiotics and other IV treatments
• PICC management
• Oxygen management
• Nebulizer treatments
• BiPAP/CPAP
• Glucose monitoring
• Tracheostomy management and suctioning
• Ostomy management
• G/J tube feedings
• Wound care and VAC dressings
• Pain management
